1. You get in touch and we agree on the service to be provided, a deadline and a rate. (I provide a contract.)

2. You email or post a copy of the project to me, including a brief and any style guidelines, if applicable.

3. I edit/proofread, using track changes in Microsoft Word for onscreen, or red pen for hard copy. I then send it your way for approval and for you to respond to any queries, and finally, you send it back to me to finalise the changes.

*Please note that in the case of hard-copy editing and proofreading, postage or courier costs will be added to the project’s fee.

 

Manuscript Assessment

1. You get in touch and we agree on the service to be provided, a deadline and a rate. (I provide a contract.)

2. You email or post your manuscript to me.

3. I read your work thoroughly and thoughtfully, and provide a written report.

*Please note that in the case of hard-copy manuscript assessment, postage or courier costs will be added to the project’s fee if you require the manuscript to be returned.

 

Writing & Rewriting

1. You get in touch and we agree on the service to be provided, a deadline and a rate. (I provide a contract.)

2. You email or post me a detailed brief and/or the copy to be rewritten.

3. I email it back to you for your approval and make any amendments where necessary, including a final proofread.

 

Transcription

1. You get in touch and we agree on the service to be provided, a deadline and a rate. (I provide a contract.)

2. You email or post me any audio files, video files, scans of handwritten notes, etc.

3. I type up a Word document. This process sometimes includes additional research, such as place names, industry-specific terms and foreign spellings.

4. I email it back to you for your approval and make any amendments where necessary, including a final proofread.
